Dadathlon Run and Festival (Stockholm, Hagaparken)
Hagaparken, Solna, Stockholm County, Sweden
Race description
DaddyHood Dadathlon is a family-oriented sports event that encourages fathers and their children to move and spend quality time together. The Dadathlon is organised as a series of three discipline-specific races held at different times during the year, and participants can join live events (such as in Stockholm's Hagaparken) or take part virtually. One of the events is a running-with-kids challenge where strollers are explicitly allowed and activities are tracked with an app or sports watch and uploaded to the platform. The event emphasises participation, shared experiences and inspiring photos/videos rather than only competition.
Highlights
- Family-friendly running with kids (strollers allowed)
- Live event in Stockholm's Hagaparken with a parallel virtual competition
- Three-part series across the year (complete all three to become a full Dadathlon; single-event sign-up possible)
Additional information
Event supports both live and virtual participation; participants track activity with an app or sports watch and upload results and device activation link to the platform. A leaderboard is available, but prizes are awarded for the most inspiring pictures/videos rather than pure time-based competition. It is allowed to stop your tracking device to take breaks for the child's comfort. The organisers encourage tagging @daddyhoodeurope and using #DaddyHoodDadathlon. Gratis registrering; Hagaparken, Stockholm; Löpning med barn (1.5 km eller 3 km); insamling till Barncancerfonden.
