Vårruset (Stockholm)

Spring Ruset in Stockholm is a recreational race for women offering distances of 2.5 km and 5 km in Norra Djurgården. The race is characterized by joy of movement and community and welcomes everyone regardless of training background or level of ambition. It is possible to register individually or in teams, with team registrants receiving a picnic after finishing. The event has a long tradition since 1989 and aims to promote women's health and create an inclusive environment for all participants.

Number bibs are sent by mail upon registration before April 17, otherwise they can be picked up on site. Teams of five people receive a picnic after finishing. Changing rooms and showers are available at cost. The recommended age is 13 years for the 5 km and 11 years for the 2.5 km, younger with adult supervision. It is possible to opt out of timing during registration. The event area is easiest to reach on foot, by bike, or public transport. Parking is limited and not recommended. The event is part of Sweden's largest sports tour for girls and focuses on community and health.
