Race description
Kalmar Backyard Ultra is a unique ultramarathon run on a 6,706-meter loop starting at 10:00 AM. The race follows the original format where each lap must be completed within one hour to continue, and the next start occurs at each full hour. The winner is the one who completes one more lap than the others. The distance of 6,706 meters is chosen because 24 laps equal 100 miles, a dream goal for many ultrarunners, but everyone is welcome regardless of ambition level.
