Race description

John Bauer Trail Run is a challenging and hilly cross-country race held from IKHP cabin on Huskvarnaberget. The race is offered in several distances (18 km, 10 km, 5 km, and several children/youth classes) and takes place partly on trails and partly on unpaved terrain with significant elevation changes and technical sections. A special feature is Strutsabacken, where run times are measured and the Bergatrollet award is given for the fastest ascent. The event is family-friendly with catering and activities at the start/finish, as well as changing rooms and showers in the IKHP cabin.

Highlights

  • Challenging, hilly terrain with both trail and unpaved sections
  • Strutsabacken (slalom slope) with separate ascent time and the Bergatrollet award
  • View over Vättern and technical downhill through Ulvadalen
