Gränsö Trailrun

Gränsö Trailrun is a running event in the Gränsö nature reserve outside Västervik that offers technical and scenic trails, sea-facing rocky areas, and some of Sweden's finest oak groves around Gränsö Castle. You can choose between 8 km and 15 km on well-marked courses, or let children participate in the Gränsö Kids Trail (up to 12 years old). The race is open for both timed and untimed Fun Run and encourages a wonderful nature experience - feel free to combine it with a spa visit at Gränsö Castle. Event center opens at 09:00 at Gränsö Castle. Start times: Gränsö Kids Trail 10:15, 8 km at 11:00, 15 km at 11:15. First finish is expected around 11:35 and the finish line closes at 13:45. The courses are marked with hanging red/white ribbons and signs; parts of the course follow existing hiking trails. Terrain: mostly trail/hiking trail with sections of rocks, terrain, and short road segments. Energy stations: 8 km has one station, 15 km has two. All children receive a medal and energy after finishing.
