Race description
Welcome to Växjöloppet on May 1, 2026 - a running festival for the whole family with distances from children's races up to half marathon. The event offers 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km, and Little Växjöloppet for younger participants. Start and finish are at Strandbjörket with start on Värendsgatan outside Strandbjörkshallen; the course features both forest paths through the scenic Bokhultet and asphalt stretches around Växjösjön. The half marathon is run as two laps on essentially the same course, providing both variation and spectator-friendly finishes.

Distances: 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km, and several children's distances in Little Växjöloppet (no individual timing for children's races). The 21.1 km is completed as two laps (the first lap just over 11 km, the second 10 km). Hydration stations: at 10 km there are four stations (after 1 km, 3 km, 5.5 km, and 6.5 km); at 21.1 km there are opportunities for fluids eight times (e.g., 1, 3, 5.5, 6.5, 10, 13, 15.5, 16.5 km). Little Växjöloppet: participants in some children's races receive bib numbers, medals, and fruit; The Newspaper Run offers a T-shirt and diploma. It is possible to use a wellness allowance for registration (registration via mittlopp.se and receipt can be used against the employer's wellness benefit). Team competitions are available; start lists and participant information can be found on the official website. The distances are 5 km, 10 km, 21.1 km, and Little Växjöloppet; hydration stations along the course (4 on 10 km; up to 8 on 21.1 km); Bokhultet station closes at 13:40 and tunnel/Växjösjön station closes at 14:00; finish closes at 14:30.
