Skälbyloppet

Skälbyloppet is a family-friendly recreational race in Kalmar, organised by Högby IF on 25 April 2026. The event offers two main distances, 4 km and 8 km (1 and 2 laps over the bridge, respectively), as well as youth events from 600 m to approximately 1.9 km. The course runs through the Skälby surroundings on gravel and park paths, with a short stretch of asphalt. Water is available at the lap point and at the finish. All finishers receive a medal, and registration follows the schedule provided by the organiser.

Race numbers can be collected at Skälby loge; start times follow the schedule, and late registration is available as stated by the organiser. The 4 km and 8 km courses follow the usual route (1 and 2 laps over the bridge, respectively). On-site attendance is required for certain officials’ registrations under RF standards. Race numbers can be collected at Skälby loge on Friday 24 April from 15:00 to 17:00 and on race day from 08:30; late registration is accepted at race-number collection up to 1 hour before the start. Water is available at the lap point on the longer course and at the finish; all finishers receive a medal.
