Race description
Rya Åsar Trail Run is a family-friendly trail race in the Rya Åsar nature reserve in Borås, with several distances for both competitive runners and recreational participants. The race offers beautiful trails, challenging hills, and stunning views over lakes and cliffs. The event is a festival at the start and finish area with music, exhibitors, and a runners lounge. The event has been held since 2017 and includes both children's races and sanctioned competitions.

Number bib distribution is available on Friday from 13:30 to 18:00 at Glasögonmäster and on Saturday from 09:45 to 12:45 at the race area. Chip timing via Eq Timing; leave bags at the start/finish area. Parking options are available at Almenäsvägen, Ryda Sportfält, and Knalleland; good bus connections to nearby stops. Runners Lounge and food/drinks are available on site; changing rooms and showers are available at Borås Camping. Water stations: 24 km has 4 stations, 12 km has 2 stations (sports drinks from Umara). Recommended equipment: mobile phone, elastic bandage, and trail shoes (especially for 24 km). Sanctioned by the Swedish Athletics Association; part of the Trail Tour; start time 13:00; the 2025 race was moved to October 5 due to weather warnings; contact and registration via info@ryaasartrailrun.se; results are published on the race results page.
