Race description

Jernbrukets Backyard Ultra is a backyard ultramarathon with start and finish at Restaurang Jernbruket in Floda. The race takes place on a 6.7 km loop that must be completed in under 60 minutes; then the next loop starts every full hour and the last runner remaining wins - the race continues as long as participants can keep going. The course runs through hilly forest terrain in the area around Säveån valley and Nääs Castle, and the organizer plans both day and night running. The restaurant at the station serves as the race center, and the organizer emphasizes good food and a genuine early summer forest experience for both runners and spectators.

The Backe‑Yard variant starts at 10:00 and the last start is at 15:00 (run as many loops as you like during these hours) and offers blueberry soup, sports drinks (Umara), and snacks. After the race, there is a wood-fired sauna and bathing at The Tannery Club (fee 150 SEK paid directly to the club).
