Race description
Gotland Run 511k is more of an adventure run than a traditional race: a self-supported journey around Gotland approximately 511 km with start and finish in Visby. Participants follow a clockwise loop that also includes a lap around Fårö, and are supported by four so-called Angel Stations along the way. The organizer provides some basic services, but runners are responsible for most food and logistics arrangements. The entire route must be completed on foot within 10 days, with regular position reports throughout the day.
Highlights
- Circular route around Gotland (start and finish in Visby) including a lap around Fårö
- Most of the route follows Gotlandsleden: long asphalt stretches, gravel roads, and shorter trail sections
