The spring races are held on two Saturdays in March each year on the famous gravel loop in Skatås, which measures just under 8 km. On the first Saturday, it's one lap that counts, and the following week you can choose between two or four laps. The results from the 8 km and 16 km are also combined for an overall competition, making this an excellent test in preparation for the Göteborgsvarvet.
Highlights
- The running competitions give you a test of your form for a cost of 100 SEK per race, where you receive everything except a medal.
- The 16 km course has a similar elevation profile to the Varvet, with long flat stretches and a few long but not very steep climbs.
- In 2017, Malin Strand ran 16 km in an impressive time of 58:16 with an average pace of 3:45 per km, which highlights the high quality of the competition.
