Vårruset Östersund

Vårruset in Östersund is a local event in the nationwide Vårruset tour, offering an accessible evening race of 2.5 km or 5 km along the shore of Lake Storsjön. The event is open to runners of different ages and offers both individual registration and team registration (teams of five), with a picnic after the finish for teams. Official timing is available for the 5 km and can be declined during registration. All participants receive a medal, a finish-line bag and a race bib. The start and finish are by Lake Storsjön, and the event area is north of Badhusparken at the former Yran campsite.

Included with individual registration: medal, finish-line bag, Vårruset music quiz and prizes, race bib and, for those who choose it, timing for the 5 km; team registration includes a picnic after the finish. Race bib pickup at Intersport Östersund on 23 May, 11–17, and 30 May, 11–17. Recommended ages: 5 km from age 13 (age 11 when accompanied by an adult); 2.5 km from age 11 (age 7 when accompanied by an adult). Registration is available online until race day, no later than 1 hour before the first start. There is also a separate Vårruset Digital (2.5 km or 5 km), which can be completed from 4 May to 4 June; digital participants receive their medal by mail and cannot take part in the in-person event.
