The Varberg Tunnel Race is a unique running event that gives participants the chance to run through the new Varberg Tunnel before it is opened to the public. The race takes place on May 10, with the Southern Fortress Corner as the competition center, and spans 9 km. Participants start in the service tunnel and continue to the Strandpromenade over Hästhagaberget to the finish line. The race is open to everyone – walk, jog, or run! The Varberg Tunnel Race is an approved event, sanctioned by the Swedish Athletics Federation.
