The Urskogsloppet is a recreational race on simple trails that winds through a fantastic primeval forest environment in Örnsköldsvik municipality. The race spans 19.7 kilometers and starts in Backe/Berg, finishing in Björna center at Bigvallen. It has been organized since 2009 and takes place every year on the Saturday before the midsummer weekend. The course follows part of the hiking trail Urskogsleden and is largely uneven, featuring paths over logs, stones, and brush. In conjunction with the race, the Lilla Urskogsloppet and Knatteloppet are also organized for children up to 13 years old.
