Urskogsloppet is a recreational race on simple trails that winds through a fantastic primeval forest environment in Örnsköldsvik municipality. The distance is 19.7 kilometers, starting in Backe/Berg and finishing in Björna center at Bigvallen. The race follows part of the hiking trail Urskogsleden and has been organized since 2009, always on the Saturday before Midsummer weekend. It is important to keep in mind that the course mostly runs on very simple trails over logs, stones, and brush, which makes it uneven in places.
