Since 1982, Springtime has been organized by Mariestads AIF and Korpen Mariestad. Springtime is Mariestad's city race held every year at the beginning of May, open to participants of all ages and levels. Participants can choose between two distances - 10 km and 5 km, and for children and individuals with disabilities, there are shorter routes of 500 m and 1350 m. The course is officially measured by certified course measurers, and the race is part of the West Swedish Running Cup.
