Ölands Marathon

Öland Marathon is an open marathon starting and finishing in the square in Löttorp. The course is very flat and easy to run, entirely paved, and offers views of Blå Jungfrun. The race consists of an inner loop of 2.1 km and an outer loop of 11.2 km, repeated three times until the distance of 42.195 km is reached. The race is organised by Högby IF and is aimed at recreational runners and masters categories in the stated divisions.

Race bibs can be collected from 12:00. There are three aid stations per lap (approx. 13.3 km), serving sports drink (Umara), Coca-Cola and water; personal energy supplies must be handed in no later than one hour before the start. All finishers receive a medal/fossil made of Öland limestone; ÖM medals go to the top two in each category. The women’s and men’s winners receive dinner for two at Kalk in Löttorp. Accommodation is available in four-bed cabins at Högby IP. Aid stations: three per lap. The course consists of a 2.1 km section in Löttorp followed by an 11.2 km section: Löttorp - Alvedsjö - Kalmarsund - Gudesjö - Löttorp, repeated three times for a total of 42.195 km.
