Kung Björn Loppet

Uppsala Running Club welcomes elite runners, recreational runners and children of all ages to the King Bear Race, Uppsala’s cross-country race with families at its heart. The race takes place at OK Linné’s clubhouse and offers several distances (10 km, 6 km, a trail race and children’s races). The event now has set start times, race-number collection with electronic chips and an awards ceremony, as well as the race’s 20th anniversary in 2026.

Race numbers with electronic chips can be collected at Löplabbet, Dragarbrunns Torg 6, on Friday 19 September from 12:00 to 18:30, or on race day from 09:00 until one hour before each start (30 minutes before the children’s races). Those who collect their race number on Friday get 20% off regular prices at the Löplabbet store (excluding electronics). Paid parking is available; the organisers recommend public transport (bus route 7) or cycling. Changing rooms and showers are available, but space is limited. There is a kiosk on site, an awards ceremony at approx. 13:30 and a prize draw. Start groups: the 10 km has start group 1 (under 50 minutes) and group 2; the 6 km starts in one combined group. Members who have completed at least one volunteer shift can register for free via kb.loppet@gmail.com.
