Kistaloppet

Kistaloppet is a family-friendly urban running event organised by Löparakademin, with races for all ages: Kistaloppet 5 km, Lilla Kistaloppet/Fun Run 1.6 km and Kistaloppet MINI for the youngest participants. The courses offer a varied running experience through the million-programme high-rise housing area, the green spaces of Järvafältet and Kista’s IT cluster, with the start and finish at Jan Stenbecks torg next to Kista Galleria. The event emphasises accessibility and community (including the #RUN4ZERO initiative) and is designed both for recreational runners and for those who want to race on the officially measured 5 km course. The event is usually complemented by music, entertainment and a festive atmosphere along the course.

Registration is free and includes a medal; registration is open through 17 September (subject to availability). Race bib collection is at the event centre in Kista Galleria (premises opposite McDonald’s): Friday 19 September 12:00 - 18:00 and Saturday 20 September 09:15 - 13:00 (race bibs must be collected at least 30 minutes before the start). There is a water station at the finish; medical staff will be on site. Only the adult race (Kistaloppet 5K) has general timing; the other races, including Fun Run, are untimed. Volunteers are expected to be available from approximately 09:00 - 15:30. Races for the whole family: 5K, LILLA Kistaloppet, Kistaloppet MINI and Fun Run; registration is free; Lilla Kistaloppet is approximately 1.6 km and MINI is 500 m; all who complete Lilla Kistaloppet receive a medal; start times and race bib collection are at Kista Galleria.
