John Bauer Trail Run

John Bauer Trail Run is a tough, very hilly trail race held in Huskvarna, near Lake Vättern. The event offers several distances for adults and children, including 18 km, 10 km, 5 km, and children’s and youth classes. The courses run partly on trails and partly off-trail, with challenging hills such as Strutsabacken, where the Bergatroll title is awarded to the fastest runner up the hill. The event is family-friendly, with changing rooms, showers, refreshments, and safety staff along the course.

Race bibs with timing chips can be collected on race day by 11:15 at the latest and must be worn visibly on the front of your shirt. Chip timing records both finish time and the time taken to run up Strutsabacken. Aid stations on various distances provide water, sports drinks, and bananas. Changing rooms, showers, and toilets are available at the IKHP lodge. Valuables can be handed in and collected at race-bib pickup. Safety staff and Red Cross medical personnel will be on site. Children’s and youth classes start at 10:45, adult classes at 11:30, and the 400 m Knattetrollen has a free start time between 10:00 and 12:00.
