Race description
The Alpaca Race is a challenging trail run in Gothenburg's Hisingparken, built as a loop on a technical course. The competition format offers four selectable distances (1, 3, 5, or 10 loops) with significant elevation gain and is intended as preparation for tough mountain races like UTMB. The race will be held June 13-14, 2026, with night running for the longest distances and a medal for all finishers. The event is organized by IF Kville with gathering and aid station at Tuve Ice Hall / IF Kville's clubhouse.

Start and schedule: 10 loops start Saturday at 19:00 (24 hours, 20 spots), 5 loops start Sunday at 07:00 (12 hours, 50 spots), 3 loops start at 10:00 (8 hours, 50 spots), and 1 loop with starts around 11:00/15:00 (1-3 hours, 100 spots). Check-in and allocation of spots before start, aid station/start at IF Kville's clubhouse at Tuve Ice Hall with toilets and facilities for changing/showering. Food: grilling and possibility to bring your own food; energy drinks and evening staffing available. A trial run of the course will be announced separately with own timing for those interested. Trial runs before the race (dates may vary); night running period 19:00 - 07:00; 24 hours / 20 spots; grilling/own food at the base camp.
